About Us

Ronald Martin Kotkins

I was born in Portland Oregon the youngest of three children.

My name is Ronald Kotkins. I started college and obtained my associates degree as a machinist. I had a change of heart, which was to take on another one of my passions for becoming a hair stylist. I realized what a huge impact that being a stylist left on my clients after seeing their responses. My hair service started in 1981, at Ron's 23rd Ave. Hair Designers, located in Northwest Portland. In 2001 my business partner Montey and I relocated to a nearby salon called Scissors Palace, which was located in Southwest Portland. Shortly after 2002, we decided to open our own salon and called it Blondie a Salon, located in Southwest Portland. I love to do hair and watch the effects it has made on people's lives.
